Our primary focus is on leveraging human and artificial intelligence to explore and discover new approaches to some of the most difficult scientific and technological problems facing humanity. Making a contribution in this way we can truly advance towards a brighter and more positive future.

Creativity has always been the singular 'super-power' humans possess.
Throughout our history we have demonstrated the ability to overcome severe threats, cope with unprecedented challenges, and creatively surmount many obstacles.
Open Science
Researchers at the University of Bristol have recently conducted an investigation into the current state of the research culture. They found academic researchers demoralised by a culture that disincentivises sharing and collaboration, encourages questionable research practices, and increases the risk of bias. These findings underline the need for a platform such as Octopus. Their results are detailed in the report "A snapshot of the academic research culture in 2023 and how it might be improved".
We believe in unfettered exploration and discovery. We stand for a genuine quest for knowledge to better understand our world and universe. We eschew strictures that hamper science, and creative expression. We welcome independent thinkers, and researchers who wish to break from convention, and pursue knowledge for the sheer joy of advancing science.
